Within many institutions and businesses there is the need to preserve and protect important physical documents. ACCO Brands produces a device that can fulfill said requirements, namely the Ultima 65. This device, already available for purchase in the market, can laminate documents between two layers of plastic swiftly and with ease. In the current model of the laminator, the exiting sheets must be cut manually. Our goal in this project in partnership with ACCO Brands was to improve the Ultima 65 by introducing a mechanism that would automatically cut the sheets of laminate outgoing from the back of the machine after initiating the cutting process.
