Project Description Heading link

Checking the air pressure of a vehicle’s spare tire is an often inconvenient and overlooked maintenance task. Without regular maintenance, the spare tire pressure will decrease over time, creating a possible hazard when installed on a vehicle. Our solution mitigates this forgetfulness, ensuring vehicle owners that they will have a fully pressurized spare tire available in their time of need. We considered the various locations of the spare tire for different vehicles, as well as environmental conditions such as temperature and vibration which all influenced the overall design and performance of our system. According to user input, our system checks the pressure, inflates the spare tire when needed, and displays the current pressure and status of the system wirelessly in the vehicle cabin. The system reliably and accurately maintained the tire to within 10% of its user specified pressure.
