This project aims to improve safety features of ACCO Brands’ guillotine paper trimmer. The goal is to create a safer design through covering the blade while it is not in use but still retaining the guillotine cutting mechanism. The main criteria for the improved designs are that it can cut at least 10 sheets, has a bed height of 60mm, requires a maximum force of 25 pounds to operate, clamps paper to avoid movement, has a clean cut, and has no exposed blade.
