Our project aims to provide an efficient and effective method to display both volume level and frequency of an audio input. This will be achieved by utilizing two subsystems, each with a specific task. The first subsystem will take the audio input and display the volume levels using a Dot Matrix Module as the output. The louder the volume, the more LEDs in the Dot Matrix will light up, allowing the user to visually monitor the volume level of the input. The second subsystem will display the frequency of the input by outputting the counted frequency on a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). It will display “Frequency Counter” or “Frequency Display” on the first line of the LCD. On the second line of the LCD, the frequency will be displayed with the appropriate unit, which is Hertz (Hz). To facilitate communication between the two subsystems, the first arduino will send the audio input to the second arduino using serial communication. This will allow for seamless integration of both subsystems and provide the user with a comprehensive display of both volume level and frequency of the audio input. Our project will provide a simple yet effective solution for monitoring audio inputs, and its applications can range from simple sound monitoring to complex sound analysis in various fields, including music production, acoustic engineering, and medical research.
