Project Description Heading link

The computerized numerical control(CNC) machine has been available in many different industries such as aviation, railway, and automotive industry. Generally, CNC machines were used to cut, shape, and create different parts. Due to being able to control precise movement, its concept can be used elsewhere such as wall printing. This project is being performed to provide a solution to potential customers, such as homeowners, who would like an efficient and precise way to place art on a vertical surface such as a common house wall. The end result of the project is aimed to be an automated machine that can accurately transfer vector art to said vertical surface, thus allowing for a method of art creation that is both convenient and effective. With the use of multiple stepper motors, coordinates can be adjusted accurately. Motors attached to the x, y, and z axis coordinate with one another to execute the G-Code, which is obtained from a software that can translate image files into G-Code. The team will design a structure that houses the machine using v rails, belts, acme rod, and a carriage consisting of laser cut acrylic parts and wheels that will travel along the v rail. This project is on a small scale, but it can be scaled up to an indefinite size as needed.
