Project Description Heading link

Glasses as a fashion statement or aesthetic are a popular product. Adding customizability to an already popular product could bring a whole new aspect to this market. By designing glasses with swappable temples, the user can express themselves like never before. Existing glasses of comparable purpose were reviewed to compare functionality. It was found that magnets and screwless connections are already popular designs that can be improved upon. An already existing design was also reviewed and will be tested for strengths and weaknesses. The multitude of small parts currently in the design will be minimized to increase industrial efficiency and decrease cost. From these tests, the glasses will be tested through a number of metrics, mainly magnet strength, and durability. The glasses are to be designed to attract a younger clientele as they are the more expressive age group. They must also not be in violation of any codes and standards which apply to non-prescription eyewear. Many of the lessons learned by the team in its already successful work will be applied to future work so as to work efficiently and effectively. By following a rigorous schedule, the team has laid out the foundation to create an innovative and quality product that meets the sponsor’s criteria.
