Project Description Heading link

The purpose of this project is to design and develop a wearable screen that is intended to be used with various virtual reality(VR) and augmented reality(AR) headsets. In accomplishing this project we will be researching current VR and AR screen projecting technologies and meeting design criteria specified by the sponsor, Human-In-Mind Engineering lab. The design criteria that will be determined includes the specifications of the screens that will be used to display the view of the AR/VR headset user, the method through which the screen monitors display video, the materials and software used, and the screen housing design and mounting of the screens to the vest. In completing this project, design alternatives and project finances will be evaluated and discussed along with presentation of the final product. This project will be completed with the Human-in-Mind Engineering Research (HIMER) lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
