Project Description Heading link

In the laboratories at the University of Illinois at Chicago, research experiments and manufacturing work are taking place. This requires the use of high precision machines and tools for these experiments to be accurate and precise. Scissor lifts are widely used for high-altitude operations. The mini size or the so-called small scissor lifts are mostly used indoors and are usually operated through electric motors. These are structured similarly to their larger counterparts, offering a stable platform surrounded by railings. The goal of this project is to create a small-scale height stage scissor lift that will be used in laboratories on optics tables, high speed photography, laser machining and marking, or any other application where a stable and accurate platform is needed to raise and lower a component or instrument. In addition, a small scissor lift should be transferable which will make it easier to obtain the required purpose of the scissor lift.
