Project Description Heading link

The ability to walk up the stairs is something that many people in the world take for granted. In order to maintain their mobility and independence, persons with disabilities may need an affordable method to move from one floor to the next. We have designed a DIY stair lift that uses many off-the-shelf components to safely travel up and down a flight of stairs. This design will consist of all necessary safety features, including motion sensors, a seat belt detection system, and obstacle detection. While including all of these features, this lift will be significantly cheaper than those on the open market and will be easier to install with parts from your local department store.
