Our project aims to be a small-scale convenient version of a google home with manual control given to the user via remote control. By default, it constantly checks the light/dark level of the room and determines whether it needs to light up the room or not as well as check temperature/humidity sensor for whether it needs to keep the fan on. Of course, at nighttime and if the user prefers it to get hotter, they can use the control to keep the automatic light and/or fan on or off.
