Project Description Heading link

As commuters and those who utilize the internet for school or work it is important to make sure we keep our information secure and devices charged. As a result we designed the commuter backpack to provide solar powered charging and a personal VPN all in one easy to access location, a book bag. Constraints include, solar panel wattage, location, size of the entire device, and testing how secure the VPN is. We have two objectives: connect a solar panel to provide charge to a power bank. The bank then charges other components like the Raspberry Pi and other electronics, including cell phones, computers and tablets. The Raspberry Pi is then used to bounce a secure channel for our connections to public Wi-Fi. Our commuter backpack can charge a variety of devices ranging from 5V to 120V safely and efficiently secure your information via the VPN service.
