Project Description Heading link

The project is an alarm clock on wheels. The device will awaken the user at a specified time, and utilize a speaker/buzzer and clock. In order to turn off the alarm clock, the user is forced to get out of bed. This is because the alarm-clock is equipped with HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors and wheels, and upon sensing motion from the user (their hand to turn it off) it will “run away”. The device will utilize servo-motors, wheels, two Arduinos, and more. All the systems together will allow it to make noise, display the time, sense and react to its surroundings. One Arduino will be implemented for the alarm clock, and will control an LCD that displays the current time. This Arduino will also activate a positive buzzer (or a 3″ adafruit speaker) that will play a song, prompting the user to wake up. Once the HR-SR04 sensors observe something a certain distance away (maybe 2 inches from the snooze button), the motors will be prompted to move the device in the opposite direction.
