Project Description Heading link

This document outlines the process and rationale used in designing the structural body of and selecting motors for the Bubble Health™ Bubble Bot. Bubble Health’s mission is to produce robots with the purpose of providing assisted living to elderly persons within their own homes. This includes, but is not limited to, health monitoring, medication management, and assisted communication. The group’s project centers around designing a safe structure and base that will allow Bubble Bot to perform all its functions safely and successfully. The team chose optimal materials and dimensions for the structure. Considering the total weight of the structure and its wheel dimensions, a motor evaluation is conducted to determine the required power output needed to drive the robot. The group’s design relies heavily on solutions provided by engineering software such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.
