Project Description Heading link

In 2019, over 5,000 fatalities and almost 90,000 injuries occurred due to motorcycle related accidents, and these numbers rise every year. Many of these accidents are caused by motorists not being able to see other passing vehicles. In order to reduce the accident count and aid motorcycle safety, we have developed a portable, modular, and universal blindspot detection system called the “OculusVeritatis.” This device will allow the motorcyclists to become more aware of their surroundings by using sensors to collect data of vehicles passing through their blindspot area and displaying the feedback to the rider with LEDs. We hope that we can reduce the number of fatalities and injuries by providing motorists with a sixth sense.
