The task of removing snow is inconvenient and can be dangerous. That is why we have created the Autonomous Snow Removal Robot (AnSRR). It is designed to displace snow during periods of snowfall to keep the user’s driveway clear and ice-less. The user simply needs to set the perimeter of their driveway and the AnSRR will sweep the area before their morning commute. In addition, we programmed a simulation that illustrates how the robot creates a map of the driveway using LiDAR during the setup phase and avoids obstacles using LiDAR and ultrasonic sensors during the snow clearing phase. IoT connectivity and a friendly user interface will be developed in the future.
