Since the turn of the decade, homes have turned toward automation and smarter technologies. Google Nest, being an example, is allowing for home life to become a lot smarter and convenient. From smart thermostats to security cameras, the slow progression toward a fully automated smart home is inevitable, but there is still room for more products to be made. When surveying the market, we realized there aren’t many options for automated windows. For this reason, we have developed an automated window system that can open and close windows remotely via a phone application. The system will consist of a temperature, humidity, and rain sensor. With these sensors, the user will be able to customize how their window will open and close automatically. Say if humidity levels become too high, the temperature outside becomes too cold, or it starts raining, the window will close/open as you see fit. The user will have complete control over closing/opening their window, without having to manually do so themselves. This system will bring window automation to a new level.
