Project Description Heading link

The covid-19 pandemic has shut down institutions of learning throughout the US and around the world. Many instructors have been forced to either cancel classroom experiments or figure out how to virtualize the experience. Additionally, when operating physically, minimizing the amount of contact untrained and budding scientists have with dangerous chemicals could improve safety. With this in mind, we have created a remote liquid dispenser which is affordable and easy to assemble and use. Our device can dispense liquid in a 12” x 12” x 12” build area. Our user interface allows the user to control the dispenser remotely in a free roam mode or in a programmatic manner. The latter method can be used to test multiple variations of the same experiment. The dispenser device will have a camera and laser attached to it for users to continuously monitor and observe the experiment.
