This project will use two Arduinos to create a physical version of the game Minesweeper, a popular puzzle game made by Microsoft where players uncover spaces on a grid, with the goal of avoiding mines and eventually uncovering all empty spaces on the grid, where gempty spaces display the number of mines next to that space. Two Arduinos will be utilized, an input and output Arduino. The input Arduino will use a joystick to navigate the grid and two buttons; one for selecting/revealing spaces, and the other for back/flagging/unflagging. The output Arduino will have a LCD display for pre-game options, time, and other messages, and an RGB LED dot display for simulating the game grid. An additional game mode will also be created dubbed Mineseeker, where players must reveal mines, losing if they reveal a non-mine space.
